Our 3D Modeling technology produces accurate and detailed 3D computer models of complex structures (such as multiple buildings in a city) from aerial LiDAR (laser scan) data or aerial photographs. “3D” means that the input raw point-cloud data is transformed to produce a full three-dimensional model, which can be manipulated by the user. The models are geo-registered to whole-earth coordinate systems such as GPS or UTM.
Our 3D Modeling is a significant improvement over existing 2D alternatives, such as maps and 2D databases overlaid with aerial photographs. 3D models convey more complete scene information including, occluded areas, structure and ground heights, and complex multi-story building structure. Such information is crucial for Geographical Information Systems (GIS), surveillance, utilities management, safety management, and communication planning.
